Kareena Kapoor appointed as a new brand ambassador for Pepsico India Foods

New Delhi, October 30, 2008: PepsiCo India Holdings (Frito-Lay Divison) today announced Superstar & Youth Idol Kareena Kapoor as the new brand ambassador for its snack food products. Kareena shall join the elite list of Saif Ali Khan, Juhi Chawla, and MS Dhoni as brand ambassadors for Pepsico's snack food products.

Commenting on the announcement, Ms Deepika Warrier, Director, Marketing, PepsiCo India Holdings (FritoLay Division) said, "We are proud to welcome Kareena Kapoor into the Pepsico family. Kareena's vibrant persona, pan-India appeal and her confident attitude makes her a great fit for our brands."

Speaking on the partnership, Kareena Kapoor said, "It is a privilege to be associated with the snack leader, PepsiCo Foods India. I am particularly excited to introduce the new communication campaign for Pepsico's Snack Foods. I look forward to a long and fulfilling association with the brand."

As a part of the new campaign, Kareena shall be seen starring in a new television commercial that will go on air by Mid-November 2008 & can be seen across all major Television channels. The new campaign shall also include radio & outdoor promotion including on-ground activities.

This year has seen Pepsico India's Snack Food business go from strength to strength. Through the year, the consumers have seen Pepsico's Snack Food brands inviting them to look beyond what is obvious through interesting innovation, communication & 360 degree marketing campaigns.
