Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun to endorse 7UP in its new avatar - All NEW 7UP in cool, stylish and iconic 'Slim Cans'

Hyderabad, Friday, September 07, 2007: 7UP announced today that it has signed on Telugu cinema’s latest heartthrob Allu Arjun as its brand ambassador. The power pack launch also saw the newly appointed brand ambassador unveil the new 100% natural lemon & lime flavour 7UP in a new sleek and stylish ‘Slim Can’. Being on the top of his game Allu with his cool, stylish and iconic image is a perfect match for the new 100% natural lemon & lime flavour 7UP.

The glamorous Telugu star, Allu Arjun has had a stellar rise to fame, epitomizes effortless style and is immensely talented. Allu Arjun will engage with 7UP to effectively communicate the brand values of the company. He will be the face of the new 100% natural lemon & lime flavour 7UP and will build the brand in Andhra Pradesh for 7UP. The initiatives will be supported by a multi media campaign encompassing television, outdoor, print, modern trade and trial generations in metros and towns across Andhra Pradesh. The television commercial featuring Allu Arjun will debut in Andhra Pradesh in the second week of September 2007.

“7UP as a brand stands for all that is fun, free spirited, cool and exciting. Allu Arjun personifies the same dynamism attached with the brand and he connects with his audience with a unique sense of style.” said, Mr. Pratik Pota, Executive Vice-President-Flavours, PepsiCo India at the launch. “The new 100% natural lime and lemon flavour and the introduction of the cool and stylish ‘Slim Cans’ are the result of understanding evolving consumer preferences.” He further added.

Speaking on this occasion, Allu Arjun, Telugu cinema’s latest sensation said, “Like every movie I choose to be a part of, I have chosen to endorse this brand after careful thought. I can only support those products that I am fully convinced about. It is an exciting brand that has a distinctive identity reflective of the attitude and values that I consider important – cool, stylish and iconic. I personally feel that the ‘Slim Can’ is a great innovation which will definitely benchmark today’s youth style statement.”

The new TVC of new 100% lemon & lime flavour 7UP is all about getting refreshed with the great new lemony taste of 7UP. The TVC will feature Allu Arjun swaying away to the magical world of music dance and masti when he drinks the new 7UP. The film has a smashing music track on which music equalizers dance to Allu’s tunes.

The TVC opens on Arjun going in a swanky sports car with his friends. While stuck in a traffic jam he eyes a cool refreshing looking 7UP Slim Can and opens it to quench his thirst. Suddenly he sees huge equalizers swaying to the music. Arjun also decides to join in the fun. He takes one more swig and breaks into a dance. Seeing him his friends also join in and suddenly there’s a huge party happening on the road. We see that as the drink gets over, the equalizers also fall to the ground. We think it’s over, but its not. One of Allu’s friend hands him a fresh 7UP Slim Can and the party begins all over again.

The film has been shot in Ramoji city and is directed by Mr. Shamin Desai. Mr. Sachin Das Burman was the creative mind on the film from JWT Delhi.

The ‘Slim Can’ in the new flavour will be available across the country at an attractive price of Rs. 15/- only.
