Will join a core global team to drive PepsiCo’s goal of tripling revenues from good-for-you products to $30 billion by 2020
New Delhi, May 06, 2010: Gautham Mukkavilli President, PepsiCo India Region has been selected to head the Global Centre of Excellence on Grain Nutrition for PepsiCo. He will report into Vivek Sankaran, Senior Vice President - Corporate Strategy and Development and will be based in Chicago, USA.
At a recent investors meeting in New York, Indra Nooyi, Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo, had shared PepsiCo’s goal of tripling revenues from good-for-you products to $30 billion by 2020 from the $10 billion today in line with the company’s commitment to increase its H&W portfolio. For achieving this critical growth imperative, Vivek Sankaran, was chosen to lead a cross-company initiative to develop a comprehensive strategy to grow the nutrition businesses – fruits and vegetables, dairy, grains and sports nutrition.
Sanjeev Chadha, Chairman India Region said, “India has been a regular provider of talent to the PepsiCo global system. Till date 75 executives from the India business have moved to global roles. Gautham is a perfect fit for this role and his selection is a reiteration of faith in Indian talent.”
“Gautham has excelled in his current role as head of India Foods business. Under his leadership, the foods business has come out of a low growth phase, and is today powering ahead with a high double digit growth,” he added.
Gautham’s rich & diverse 19 years’ experience in PepsiCo started with the Indian Beverage business, and he has since worked across Foods, Beverages and PO1 roles, in Franchise & Operating businesses, based in India, Vietnam & Thailand, and has done outstandingly well across his varied assignments.
