Slice announces Mega Winner of Golden Mango Offer

Mr Venkatesan from Erode, Tamil Nadu is the lucky winner of the half-kilogram golden mango

Coimbatore, April 26: Slice, the mango drink from PepsiCo India, today announced the name of the lucky winner of the mega prize of its Golden Mango offer. Mr Venkatesan, 34, from Erode district of Tamil Nadu, has won the half kilogram of pure gold, in the shape of a mango. The ‘Slice Golden Mango Offer’ was launched in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and parts of Andhra Pradesh, for the period February 15 to March 15, 2013.

In a month-long consumer program, Slice gave consumers a chance to win mangoes made of real gold. Every day, four lucky consumers got a chance to win Gold Mangoes of 5g each. At the end of the program, one consumer was picked as the lucky winner of the mega prize of half kg gold. During the offer period, gold worth whopping INR 40 lacs were up for grabs.

Beaming with excitement, Mr Venkatesan, the winner of half kilogram gold mango said, “The pure mango pleasure of Slice has always delighted me and my family. But winning a half kg pure gold mango is something that elevates the experience to a whole new level. I can’t believe that I have won half kg of real gold worth 18 lac rupees.
